CUSTOM MADE CRIBS IN ART BASEL

Updated: Nov 10, 2020

I had the pleasure to be part of this amazing project called "Pinta mi Cuna". Each artist received a white craddle and had to transform it into our own style. You had a month to work on it.

The exhibition took place in Artrium Gallery in Wynwood. On the opening night the cradles were auctioned in an effort to raise funds for TECHO during Art Basel week.

Besides doing the transfer of the drops and balloons I also made a balloon rug to put under the cradle so it looks more colorful. My crib was sold that night for $700, It was so exciting! All the profits of the cribs sold went to an organization in Colombia called TECHO.

TECHO is a youth led non-profit organization present in Latin America & the Caribbean. Through the joint work of families living in extreme poverty with youth volunteers, TECHO seeks to overcome poverty in slums. The goal was to raise funds in order to build two transitional houses for families living in poverty.

Thank you to Give a Wink for the invite to this wonderful project!
